1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using GoDutchUni’s website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the services.

2. Definitions

  • “GoDutchUni,” “we,” “us,” “our” — the company operating this website and providing the services.
  • “User,” “you,” “your” — any individual accessing or using the services.
  • “Services” — university guidance, document review, application support, timeline and interview preparation, and related offerings.

3. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or have verifiable parental/guardian consent.
  • You must provide accurate and truthful information when using the services.

4. Description of Service (What We Do & Don’t Do)

GoDutchUni provides guidance to help international students apply to Dutch universities, including:

  • University matching and recommendations
  • Application review and guidance
  • Personal statement assistance
  • Interview preparation
  • Timeline management
  • Consultation calls and support

Important: We provide guidance only. Universities make admission decisions independently. We do not guarantee acceptance, scholarships, visas, or any particular outcome.

5. User Responsibilities

As a user, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information and documents
  • Use the services for lawful purposes only
  • Respect intellectual property rights
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or disrupt the services
  • Maintain the confidentiality of any account credentials
  • Comply with applicable laws and university rules/deadlines

6. Pricing, Payments & Taxes

6.1 Service Fees

Prices are listed on our website or in written offers prior to purchase. Unless stated otherwise, fees are due in advance.

6.2 Payment Methods

Payments are processed securely by third-party providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). You authorize us to charge your selected payment method for the purchased services.

6.3 Taxes/VAT

Prices may include or exclude VAT depending on your location and applicable tax rules. Where required, VAT will be charged and shown at checkout or on the invoice.

7. Refund Policy

  • Document Check / Consulting (one-off sessions): non-refundable once the session or review has started.
  • Full Application Support: if you cancel before we begin substantive work (e.g., document review, edits, or university outreach), you may be eligible for a partial refund of unused portions. Once substantive work starts or an application is submitted, refunds are not available.
  • To request a refund, contact legal@godutchuni.com with your order details.

This policy does not affect any non-waivable rights you may have under EU consumer law.

8. Referral Program

We may offer a referral program subject to specific program rules published by GoDutchUni. We may modify or terminate the program at any time. Misuse (e.g., self-referrals, spam) may result in loss of referral benefits and/or termination of access.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the website and in our deliverables (text, graphics, logo, design, software, guides) is owned by GoDutchUni or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission. Limited personal, non-transferable use is permitted to pursue your applications.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

Your use of the services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and process personal data under GDPR.

11. Disclaimers

  • The services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
  • We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
  • Advice is provided based on information and deadlines available at the time; rules and requirements may change without notice by universities or authorities.
  • We are not responsible for delays or outcomes caused by universities, testing bodies, embassies, or inaccuracies in the information you provide.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoDutchUni shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages (including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities) arising from or related to your use of the services. Our aggregate liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount you paid to GoDutchUni for the service giving rise to the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless GoDutchUni from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the services.

14. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the services, or where required by law. You may stop using the services at any time. Termination does not affect rights and obligations accrued up to that date (including outstanding fees).

15. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. The courts of Amsterdam, Netherlands, will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that apply in your country of residence within the EEA.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Effective Date.” Material changes will be highlighted where appropriate. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. Severability & Entire Agreement

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with any service-specific agreement or order confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between you and GoDutchUni regarding the services.
